Stability Control Systems – While no technology can remove the need for safe driving practices, there are a few advanced stability control systems that help you to maintain vehicle control and balance. Roll Stability Control (RSC), for example, reduces engine power and engages the ABS to reduce the likelihood of a roll-over should it sense that your vehicle is approaching a tipping point. This system is standard on the Land Rover LR2.
Airbags – Thanks to a plethora of driver and passenger airbags, peace of mind comes standard when you purchase a new or used Land Rover SUV. The LR4, for example, features up to eight airbags strategically positioned around the vehicle, including side-curtain and side-thorax airbags, to protect all vehicle occupants during an accident. In fact, each row of seats has its own curtain airbags.
Electronic Parking Brake – Handbrakes can be extremely helpful during dangerous driving conditions, but the problem is that most conventional parking brake systems are not incredibly easy to use. Fortunately, Land Rover goes beyond the conventional handbrake lever with its Electric Parking Brake (EPB) system. EPB provides braking assistance during hill starts and descents. And, because EPB can be released simply by driving away, it also ensures a more relaxed driving experience in bumper-to-bumper city traffic.
