    Last updated 6 months ago

For half a century, Land Rover has produced top-of-the-line four-wheel drive SUVs. Land Rover’s tradition of excellence continues with their 2013 lineup, including the all-new Range Rover. As fans expect, the 2013 Range Rover combines unparalleled luxury with tough off-road capabilities. Here’s a closer look at the features of this outstanding vehicle:

    Terrain Response

Like all Land Rover vehicles, the 2013 Range Rover is designed for all-terrain driving. The state-of-the-art Terrain Response system automatically senses road conditions and adjust the vehicle’s setup accordingly. Whether you’re driving over rocks, sand, or mud, Terrain Response will automatically adjust the vehicle’s systems, including suspension and transmission, for a supremely controlled off-road driving experience.

    Electronic Cross Linked Air Suspension

The variable ride height suspension on the Range Rover is designed to provide you with the smoothest ride possible. With the extended height setting, you can easily clear rocks and debris in the road. From paved highways to treacherous back roads, no other four-wheel drive SUV will handle better than the 2013 Range Rover.

    Luxury Interior

Not only does the new Range Rover come standard with a leather interior, it also features 3-zone climate control. The driver’s seat, front passenger seat, and back seat can be set at different custom temperatures. The front seats are heated for wintertime comfort, and the backseat enjoys over a full yard of legroom. No matter where your destination lies, everyone inside your new Range Rover will ride in maximum comfort.

    Cutting-Edge Infotainment System

The 2013 Range Rover is ready to carry you into the 21st century and beyond with cutting edge technology. Features like the 380W Meridian sound system and satellite radio provide you with a superior entertainment experience, and voice control and Bluetooth phone pairing ensure that you can choose to stay connected no matter where you roam.

Inside the Land Rover DC100 Expedition Concept and the Future of the Defender Line

    Last updated 7 months ago

Land Rover has consistently been known as a leader of four-wheel drive vehicles around the world. Perhaps the most iconic Land Rover vehicle out there is the Defender. However, this classic brand has yet to enter the American market. While it is available in Europe, Land Rover enthusiasts in the United States can anticipate that a completely redesigned line of Defender vehicles will soon hit American shores. Here’s an inside look at the latest Land Rover DC100 Expedition Concept to come:

Design: The Defender was the first off-road utility vehicle to launch the original Land Rover series in 1948. Its 21st century replacement will combine modern appeal with the distinctive style that made the Defender a classic. The round lamps and familiar grill of the Defender continues to be reflected in the brand-new Land Rover DC100, but short overhangs and sharp angles add an athletic quality.

Technology: Impressive new technologies suggest a promising outlook for the DC100. Extra sensors have been integrated into the Terrain Response System for automatic settings. Drivers will also be able to utilize intelligent 3D imagery to map out the terrain before them with the new Terrain-i system. The bumpers and side mirrors will also be equipped with sonar sensors that can assess water depth.

Sustainability: As a true mark of its progress into the modern era, the DC100 shows exciting prospects for sustainability. A Twin-Solenoid Stop/Start system working with an eight-speed automatic transmission is designed with future hybridization in mind. In order to lessen friction losses, a Driveline Disconnect system will automatically disengage four-wheel drive physically, as opposed to conventional electronic disengaging.
